Spring 2022: Adaptation of Existing Spaces

Today’s exhibits require more modern galleries that have technology built in as well as capable of supporting higher functioning air quality systems and more sensitive lighting systems. This, along with museum’s desire to create new, inviting, and flexible spaces where a larger audience will feel included, in many cases, must be rendered from existing spaces. This panel will present case studies as well as best practices for a capital project and ongoing maintenance and upgrade of existing spaces.
